As the I.T. Manager I was responsible to plan, design, deploy, maintain and grow the IT strategy and infrastructure of the company. Over the years I have grown the studio from a setup of 20 workstations and a single server, to a highly efficient environment with multiple cluster servers.

Serving a very demanding requirements with hundreds of Gb of daily data, 150+ workstations and a 1200+ core render farm. I have stayed up to date with disruptive and emerging technologies; and open source tools. This has enabled me to optimize ROI and allowed the company to stay competitive in a global market.

Duties included:
• End user and system administration (AD, LDAP, DCHP, DNS, FTP, Web, Email, Database, LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewall, Wi-Fi)
• Helpdesk Desktop support (all levels of hardware and software)
• Administration and maintenance of all IT infrastructure (Servers, RAID Arrays, Copper and Fibre Networks, Render Farm, Printers, VoIP and Conferencing Systems)
• Dealing with suppliers and vendors for all hardware procurement and software licensing.
• Implementing data security, file control and versioning, backups (including de-duplication, LTO), disaster recovery policies and off-site archival procedures.
• Producing documentation concerning support and IT methods
• Hardware inventory, asset tracking and monitoring.
• Designing and running performance analyses, load testing and my own capacity planning for all systems. Monitoring all infrastructure in the different layers including high availability systems
