Position:         IT Systems Administrator

Crafty Apes is a high-end visual effects boutique with a strong foothold in features and episodic television.  We currently have an opening for an experienced IT Systems Administrator at our Atlanta facility.  This is a full-time salaried position requiring overtime as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•       Supports, monitors, and maintains services and PCs throughout the company.
•       Documents, configures and analyzes network peripherals and performance.
•       Supports and deploys Windows and Linux servicer, active director account creation and management.
•       Designs and installs reliable systems and solutions.
•       Tests and deploys software upgrades on all systems.
•       Monitors system performance and data integrity.
•       Deployment and administration of all servers, as well as confirms correct specifications for all new hardware.
•       Troubleshoots for issue resolution.
•       Maintains a highly professional demeanor and level of diplomacy.
•       Communicates effectively with managers and other levels of personnel.
•       Meets deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  QUALIFICATIONS:

•       AS/BS MIS, Computer Information Systems for related field.

•       3-5 years of experience working and maintaining servers, network switches, computer hardware and software.

•       Proficient with Windows AD, VMWare, RHEV, AWS RDS, Cloud Formations, EC2, Chef, Python or Equivalent Scripting Language.

•       Knowledge of TCP/IP, SMTP, DNS, Route 53.

•       Knowledge of Linux distributions- Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat.

•       Strong understanding of VFX technologies.
