We are a NYC-based video post-production studio seeking a full time Post-Production IT/Engineering Specialist.

Our staff includes editors, VFX and motion graphics artists, creative and art directors, and producers. We have multiple off-line edit systems, CGI/3D/Flame finishing and an in-house agency.

We are a creative group of artists, designers and tech nerds and we're looking for another like-minded individual to bring insight and creativity to our workplace.

 

Duties

Oversee the day-to-day operations/support of our studio’s networks and IT infrastructure in how it relates to the production of content across various video, CGI and post-production systems. Setup, configure and maintain work stations on Mac systems for motion graphics and editorial needs. Maintain EditShare and corresponding LTO backup system.

 

 

Responsibilities

The post-production IT/engineer/specialist is responsible for the technical operation, evaluation, and maintenance of our servers, edit systems, graphics systems, storage, and related systems. Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, organizational systems on servers, configuration and backup systems.

 

Desired? ?Skills? ?And? ?Experience

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of hands on practical IT/Network administration experience including working on setup of associated equipment, repairs and maintenance. Solid understanding of network principles as it relates to the operation of a post-production studio. Strong experience working on cross platform workstations and storage devices for Motion Graphics and Post-Production including Adobe Creative Cloud, Nuke and AVID. Proficiency in Mac, Linux and Windows based systems is essential.

Some understanding of Linux systems and Autodesk Flame/flame family is ideal. Understanding of OS installs, system configurations, integration support and infrastructure design. Knowledge of Archival and DAM systems such as LTO.

Must be able to troubleshoot and quickly solve problems with servers/storage, networks and switches.

Must be able to work under tight deadlines, have a strong attention to detail and great interpersonal skills to support creative staff as well as clients.
