Our company is looking to expand in the near future and we will need additional support in our technical support department. The job we are hiring for is a combination of Data Wrangling, Junior Sysadmin work as well as some PA duties when needed. This job is a unique semi-entry level opportunity into the world of feature film Visual Effects.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Staging incoming scans and digital media online for artist use.
• Converting, renaming, resizing, digital media while adhering to Hammerhead standards.
• Performing quality control of incoming & outgoing data.
• Digital deliveries to clients using a variety of media (FTP, firewire drives, dvd's, etc.).
• Assisting the Sysadmin as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to work within standard Linux, Mac and Windows operating systems.
• At least one year experience of using Linux (Command Line) with basic scripting (csh & python) is a MUST.
• Extremely detail oriented with good organizational skills.
• Ability to rapidly pick up and learn new tools and techniques.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team, establish priorities and work with minimal supervision.
• Able to multitask and handle a high pressure, fast-paced environment.
• MUST be able & willing to work overtime as required, either by working 8+ hours a day or working occasional weekend shifts.
• Job may require heavy lifting from time to time.
• College graduate - Degree in Film, Animation, Computer Science, IT or equivalent is a plus but not a must.
• Previous production experience in computer animation, visual effects, or game industry preferred.
