Job Purpose

The Systems Support Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day resolution of issues and requests (tickets)  as well as the monitoring and maintenance of all workstations and peripherals within the Boat Rocker Media network as pertains to hardware, operating systems, and application software. The Systems Administrator is also responsible for keeping inventory up to date, ensuring all software licenses are properly recorded, as well as keeping physical assets organized.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
• Assist in ensuring that the inventory system is accurate and complete
• Assist in ensuring that all software licenses are properly assigned
• Assist in organization and cleaning of all Systems physical inventory
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
• Perform regular backup & archive operations (LTO)
• Assist with systems support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
• Provide documentation of all methods and procedures
• Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications/Skills

• 2+ years’ experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role
• Completed post-secondary education in computer-related area of study
• Effective communication skills and the ability to ensure a consistently high level of customer satisfaction • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving        skills
• Strong knowledge and ability to script in PowerShell language
• Strong knowledge and troubleshooting of macOS, Windows, and Linux OS
• Strong knowledge and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365 & Azure AD (Active Directory)
• Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory, LDAP, SSO
• Knowledge/experience working with Palo Alto Firewall/VPN systems
• Knowledge/experience working with Microsoft Intune
• Experience and knowledge of graphics and animation applications a bonus
