Position Summary

The System Administrator will be responsible for maintaining a variety of technologies encompassing a Post Production IT infrastructure, as well as, providing direct support to Mob Scene team members. Ideal applicants for this position should possess a strong knowledge and hands-on experience configuring Apple and Windows workstations for Post production work flows, Microsoft and Linux based server systems, Virtualization solutions (VMware), SAN/NAS storage appliances (StorNext, Qumulo), Network and Security implementation knowledge.  Applicants should be able to implement, train users and support complex software applications (multiple vendors, large databases, interface, etc.), be a strong team player but able to work independently, and have the ability to multi-task in a dynamic fast paced environment.



  • Provide general IT support for Mob Scene production, producers, office staff and freelancers utilizing a mix of both Apple Mac and Windows computers and Laptops.
  • Support Mob Scene Editors/Artists with an emphasis and thorough understanding of Post video technologies, workflows and applications (Adobe Premiere).
  • Assist in the creation and management of User credentials utilizing Active Directory.
  • Building, configuring, updating and deploying Mac and Windows workstations.
  • Manage the Machine Room
  • Troubleshoot various technical issues.
  • Work with outside vendors for support on internal systems, i.e. Quantum, Qumulo, Autodesk, Adobe, Maxon etc.
  • General asset management and organization.
  • Manage Project archives


  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Mac/Windows/Linux technical support role(s).  Post and/or Visual Effects experience highly preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications with an emphasis on Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • Technical proficiency and familiarity with basic system admin tools and processes
  • Knowledge of file formats, compression methods and practices
  • Familiarity with both SAN (StorNext) and NAS (Qumulo) technologies
  • Experience working with complex networks and VMware
  • Experience with License servers (RLM)
  • Use of scripting language Python or Perl a bonus
  • Certifications in Adobe Premiere or other specialties highly preferred.
