As a Systems Administrator on the Apple@Pixar Team, you will join a group of technicians, administrators, and engineers, providing comprehensive, customer-focused support for macOS, iOS, and tvOS. The team provides exceptional technology experiences for Pixar employees by ensuring that Apple systems remain stable, secure, and well-integrated into the rest of the studio.

You are passionate about all things Apple: from MacBooks to iPhones, Keynote to iCloud and everything in between. You care deeply about empowering people to take control of their technical tools, and can demystify the complexity of technology for non-technical people. You understand that troubleshooting can be as much an art as it is a science, and enjoy the challenge of complex problems. You respond promptly to today’s pressing issues, but are more inclined to automate solutions wherever possible. You effortlessly switch between independent and collaborative approaches to troubleshooting, solving some problems alone, and others together with your colleagues. Most of all, you are inspired by technology and its role in making people productive and happy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Triage and resolve IT support request tickets
  • Contribute to projects that reduce support tickets and improve the employee experience
  • Serve as Tier 2 support for the Help Desk Team
  • Help to develop and communicate IT policy
  • Craft clear and concise documentation and knowledge base articles
  • Participate in help desk rotations as needed
  • Take an active role in shaping your professional development

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of macOS and iOS support experience.
  • Comfort navigating and using a shell
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and document project work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage a multitude of complex tasks and responsibilities
  • Jamf Pro administration experience

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience supporting macOS in an enterprise environment
  • Experience supporting artists in a film studio or similar
  • Experience writing and debugging shell scripts
  • Experience administering SaaS tools such as: Okta, G Suite, Slack, and Box
