We are recruiting to fill a Tier 1 – 2 support role with room for advancement at a mid-sized agency of 20–30 producers, artists and creatives. The ideal candidate will take a proactive approach to daily laptop / workstation maintenance and upkeep, assist with render farm management and updates, but also be excited to switch gears and learn higher level config or Isilon maintenance or help with trade-show tech testing in those hours between break/fix.


  • Desktop support (40% Mac Laptop, 10% mac desktop, 40% Windows Desktop, 10% misc)
  • Manage and maintain asset tracking database
  • Help with tape restore requests
  • Help with render farm troubleshooting and upgrades
  • Help with AD + Server account creation requests and group changes.
  • Assist and maintain ‘golden’ images for common workstation configs
  • Software licensing and management
  • Help evangelize new and better workflows to our Sydney office, and our off-site freelancers.
  • Escalate Tier 3 or uncertain requests.
  • Speak up when a process is broken and you have possible solution.


  • Familiarity with software common to VFX/Post Production. Cinema 4D, Maya, Adobe Creative Cloud, Pro Tools, Resolve, as well as common software like Office, Slack, or Box.
  • Familiarity with Render farm management software like Deadline. How to make and alter groups, how to diagnose errors and resubmit problem frames.
  • Advanced desktop hardware troubleshooting.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of Windows 10 and Mac OS 10.10.5 – 10.13
  • A functional understanding of Active Directory, user/group management, GPO, DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Basic network/connectivity troubleshooting.
  • A Basic understand of signal routing over HDMI and SDI
  • Any scripting skills in Python are a huge plus but not required.
  • Linux familiarity is a huge plus but not required, however you will need to learn the basics.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and an intuitive sense for how to prioritize them.
  • Teamwork, Communication, and People skills.
