DHX Media – Vancouver is looking for an experienced Desktop Support team member to join our IT department! 

The role:

As a member of our Desktop Support team, you will be working with our awesome IT department to provide day-to-day end-user support for our Production and Corporate employees. You will be responsible for computer and hardware setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of workstations, laptops and printers. This is the perfect opportunity to get your foot in the door of the IT world in a fast-paced production environment!

You will get to work on…

  • Being the first point of contact for internal studio IT support
  • Installing, maintaining, organizing and upgrading PC workstations, peripherals and application software
  • Troubleshooting and repairing desktops, laptops, and other hardware in the studio
  • Providing End-User support for Corporate and Production employees
  • Tracking and responding to IT tickets that are submitted through the DHX Ticketing system
  • Maintaining accurate record of hardware inventory
  • Other duties as assigned by the IT Manager

Specific skills we’d love to see…

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • 1-2 years' experience in an IT work environment
  • Knowledge of PC hardware, as well as various Windows and Mac operating systems and applications
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating systems as well as the Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and Server 2012/2016 platforms
  • An understanding of LAN technologies and the ability to provide assistance in the administration of local area network operations
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and Autodesk Maya Software is a definite asset
