As a member of the Support Services team, you play a key role in the delivery of high quality technical support for the business, whilst delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and a personalised service in both troubleshooting and project related work.


Key Skills & Responsibilities in this role are:

  • Ensuring workstations are fully working and job specific functional
  • Ensuring that the asset management system is fully functional and up to date
  • Ensuring the render farm is running at optimal performance. Performing upgrades when required
  • Performing workstation / server software & hardware upgrades
  • Management of archive system and tape library / autoloader systems
  • Management of the enterprise backup systems
  • Management of the Enterprise level endpoint security system – Basic Administration
  • Design and manage system and server OS build’s using WDS & SCCM
  • Strong and demonstrable troubleshooting skills.
  • Manage All Windows 7 Workstations
  • Manage and update Windows Server | Active Directory| DNS | DHCP
  • Manage the Mac OSX Server
  • Self manage project design and implementation skills
  • Strong and demonstrable troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic administration of the Enterprise firewall.

 Daily Duties in this role are:

  • Checking firewall, IPS, Proxy and switch systems for irregularities and informing the IT manager.
  • Checking storage servers for optimal performance and errors.
  • Liaise with the IT manager on any projects being worked on and update on progress, planning, change control etc
  • Planning and implementing of any project work assigned in the time frame allocated
  • Investigating new technologies and how this could benefit the business
  • Provide training to members of staff that require it
  • Providing 2nd /3rd line support to production and junior IT staff

Skills & Experience

  • Strong Windows 7 /10
  • Strong Windows Server 2008 /12/ 16
  • Some Mac OSX
  • Some but not essential Key Production Packages ( Maya, Houdini, Nuke, Vray, After Effects, Photoshop
  • Strong Management of asset management system and service desk systems.
  • Strong workstation and server hardware upgrades
  • Strong workstation Troubleshooting
  • Strong networking understanding and troubleshooting
  • Some Tape library / autoloader skills
  • Strong Backup Solutions and strategies
  • Some Anti virus – Basic Administration
  • Some Linux Server setup and administration
  • Strong and demonstrable troubleshooting skills in all areas.
  • Strong OS upgrades and major changes
  • Strong storage fundamentals
  • Strong networking fundamentals
  • Some or similar Server hardware – HP / Supermico experience
  • Strong System Imaging and Sysprep technologies
