Job Description

There is currently a vacancy for a Systems Administrator in the Systems team supporting the Film department. The role offers the successful candidate potential to advance their technical skills, plus hands on experience with state-of-the-art technology and an opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues. If you have a sharp technical mind, experience with Windows and Linux, and want to be a part of some very high profile productions, then this is the place for you.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide Windows and Linux support to VFX Artists and Production teams via deskside, phone and support tickets.
  • Help troubleshoot application issues, OS issues, networking problems, system issues and hardware.
  • Perform OS and software installations for workstations and laptops.
  • Undertake project work – E.g. installing new Windows and Linux based systems, servers and services.
  • Provide late cover on a rotational shift pattern.
  • Support and mentor more junior members of the team.
  • Occasionally visit other sites for remote setup of equipment.


  • Professional experience in a Systems/IT Support position.
  • Professional experience of Linux, ideally RHEL/CentOS including command line.
  • Knowledge of Windows 7 and 10 including installation and configuration.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, SCCM, WSUS and Group Policy.
  • Experience with physical and virtual server environments.
  • Experience with hardware installation and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of networking protocols, network switching, VLANs, Routers, IP subnets, DNS and DHCP.
  • Programming or scripting experience. E.g. Bash / Python / PowerShell
