Summary

The Senior Engineer role is to configure, maintain, and monitor applications and systems to ensure a high level of availability and integrity of our systems. Participate in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system access and provisioning is consistent with industry best practices.
 
The Senior Engineer will be responsible for assisting the Head of Engineering in the design and installation of one-off projects for example – ‘Mini Mills’, facilities expansions and new project needs, with the support of the Junior Engineers.
 
The Senior Engineer will provide advice and support to clients, producers, creative artists, technical staff, and senior management regarding technical issues and feed ideas on solutions and capabilities for both on-site and current/new equipment in the broader post production field.
 
Responsibilities:
 
·       Maintain, support and upgrade onsite and offsite equipment and software
·       Build, maintain and deploy packages to Linux, Windows and MacOS systems
·       Where appropriate carry out technical research of current and emerging technologies
·       User management, including create/change/delete within Active Directory
·       Regular systems security monitoring, patching and continual improvement
·       Work with Production and Artists to determine and improve workflows when necessary
 

Requirements

 
·       3 plus years’ experience managing multiple Linux and/or Windows servers and workstations
·       A degree in technology or equivalent professional experience
·       Knowledge of Puppet Labs configuration and deployment desirable 
·       Team player with great communication and follow through skills
