Systems Engineer

  • Working on compelling and sophisticated projects in the broadcast and post-production/VFX industry
  • Install, manage and maintain various SAN/NAS environments at customers’ facilities, both remotely and on-site
  • Support our Product Development Department in qualification and evaluation of hardware products that facilitate or complement our server appliances
  • Support our Pre-Sales Engineers to plan and design end-to-end digital media workflows and shared media file storage systems, including back-up and archive solutions
  • Support our Technical Service Department with technical support (both hardware and software)

 

What you need for this position

  • Multi-task and time management skills
  • Vast knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN) systems (specifically StorNext/Xsan) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems, including all related components (disk arrays, switches, LTO etc)
  • A deep understanding of Ethernet and Fibre Channel networking
  • Experience with Linux, Windows and OSX
  • An understanding of shared media workflows, archive and backup solutions
  • Experience in server and storage solutions designed for the broadcast and post-production industry and media production applications (e.g. Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer etc.) is a plus

 

What we ask for

  • 3+ years of recent experience in a post-production/broadcast environment is preferred
  • A self-starter who is able to meet deadlines and stay focused and productive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing assignments
  • Strong customer-focused, hands-on problem solving skills with broadcast-/post-production related equipment and systems
  • The ability and passion to work nights and weekends when necessary
  • The willingness to travel, locally/nationally and internationally when necessary
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
