Post Production Systems Administrator 

Molinare TV & Film Ltd have an exciting vacancy for a Post Production Systems Administrator to join the team. The successful candidate will be providing IT administrative support to our VFX, grading, and editing systems.

The IT team is vital in this role.  As well as having responsibility for systems administration of our post production tools, they provide support and development of workflow solutions, tailored to meet the ever-changing challenges that face the company.


The Role Overview


The role is responsible for production systems and support administration of predominantly Linux systems for VFX, grading, editing and general post production, liaising with operational staff to develop workflow enhancements and features.


Key responsibilities include


  • Filmlight and Autodesk systems administration
  • Administration of the VFX render farm, workstations and licencing/LDAP servers
  • Scripting to provide enhancements in post-production workflows
  • Production networking configuration
  • General Linux administration


Desirable knowledge and experience


  • Scripting in computer languages, such as Python and Bash
  • Understanding of post-production workflows and practices
  • Knowledge of video file transcoding
  • General IT skills in Windows and Mac OSX
  • HP blade centres & z workstations, deadline render management and Nuke support
  • Experience of VFX, Filmlight Baselight and Autodesk Flame systems
  • Team working
  • Problem solving
