The Animation Workshop, VIA University College (TAW) is searching for a Media Technical employee for a new position.

Job Description: 


The TAW Media Technical department services and maintains the production environment in the organization. We handle production specific software support, pipeline support, render farm systems, storage and network infrastructure, equipment management, and many other areas. 


Responsibilities: 


We are looking for a new colleague to help us maintain a diverse and ever evolving production environment for our users.
You will assist the front desk with general computer and software support along with the rest of the department.
You will help with the design and maintenance of production systems such as pipeline tools, render farm systems, editorial workflows, media management, and storage solutions.

Competencies: 
• Working experience in the media or post production fields (Animation, VFX, games or related)
• Familiarity with some of the following tools: Maya, Nuke, Deadline, Shotgun or other 3D/animation tools.
• Knowledge of- and experience in OS and Hardware maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Adaptable and quick to pick up and implement new technologies.
• Able to handle several different tasks at once, while giving our users a great service experience.
• Written and spoken fluency in English

• Have good interpersonal skills and are sociable and adaptable, since you will engage in small and large teams
• Are independent, enterprising, and able to handle freedom with responsibility
• Have a structured way of working and a well-developed ability to handle many simultaneous tasks


Salary and Employment:
The vacancy is a project position of 37 hours per week running until 31st of December 2020 with a possibility of extension. The workplace is The Animation Workshop, Kasernevej 5, 8800 Viborg, located in the old barracks of Viborg’s army depot. You will report directly to the Head of the Media Technical Department.


Salary and employment conditions are set by existing agreements and collective agreements, incl. pension contributions.
Employment begins 14th of August 2017.
