We are currently hiring for a Render Wrangler in our South Pasadena facility.

 

With studios in North America and around the world, Stargate Studios is an Emmy Award winning visual effects company that works on high profile television shows and feature films such as Ray Donovan, Grey’s Anatomy, 24 Legacy, and more.

 

The role requires willingness and availability to regularly work the evening shift (approximately 6pm - 4am). Training will be provided for the first 2-4 weeks (depending on experience), in which the hours will be 10am to 8pm.

 

Preferred candidates will have strong computer/IT proficiency.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the render farm is functioning at its maximum capacity, including software and hardware.
  • Monitor, manage, and audit renders for daily deliveries
  • Maintain and track rendering priorities
  • Plan and communicate allocation of resources in accordance with project needs
  • Help artists and producers with support requests and errors
  • Assist with additional IT requests
  • Maintain privacy on sensitive materials from clients

 

Desired Skills:

  • High proficiency working with render managers, experience with Smedge and Deadline preferred
  • Familiarity with After Effects, Nuke, Maya, and Houdini
  • Experience with complex visual effects pipelines
  • IT hardware and software knowledge and troubleshooting
  • Data management including data backup and archive
  • Ability to prioritize and perform tasks under time constraints
  • Excellent communication skills across multiple departments and levels of staff
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be able to bring a fresh approach to problem solving
