Our technology support teams are located in each location where Double Negative operates. We share a global network and provide a follow-the-sun support function.

The main responsibilities of this role will be supporting our end-users and solving technical problems, as well as maintaining and supporting our extensive Linux based server and desktop infrastructure. You will update configurations across Windows, Linux and macOS using our configuration management system (SaltStack), and monitor and respond to alerts across our server and network infrastructure.

You will also be involved in peer-reviewing changes using Bitbucket and git, and managing and documenting your work using JIRA and Confluence.

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Highly motivated, able to manage your own workload and priorities
  • L2/L3 networking skills including subnetting, VLANs, routing
  • Strong understanding of Linux tools and command line operations
  • Previous experience with one or more of git, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence
  • Previous experience writing scripts using one or more of bash, perl, python, ruby

Nice to Have

  • Experience using a configuration management system such as Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack
  • Experience managing relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Experience supporting a production Linux desktop environment
  • Red Hat RHCSA or RHCE, or equivalent experience

About You

  • Proactive and highly motivated.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Good time management and priority handling.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
