Please note: This is a junior position and we will only be accepting applications from those who either have 1-2 years experience or a graduate who is interested in getting into an I.T role

The candidate will ideally need a driver's license as you will be required to travel to production studios based in and around London

Also the candidate will need to be located in or around London to be able to commute into our London Studio

THE THIRD FLOOR, Inc. is the world’s pre-eminent visualization company with offices in Los Angeles and London as well as on location with productions around the world. Since 2004, the studio has helped clients visualize and maximize content by producing computer-animated blueprints, known as “previsualizations”. Recent film and television projects THE THIRD FLOOR has worked on include The Martian, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Marvel’s Ant-Man, Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, Mad Max: Fury Road, Maleficent, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Edge of Tomorrow, Guardians of the Galaxy and Game of Thrones Seasons 4 and 5.

The IT Assistant \ Technology Runner will provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business and will provide back up and support to the TTFL IT team. This is a very exciting opening for anyone with a true passion for technology and support. It is an opportunity to gain training and insight on the systems powering our many creative teams, on our various projects. As a gateway to a career in Systems this role is an ideal way for a hardworking and motivated individual to get their foot in the door of this creative industry.


  • Workstation relocation and configuration
  • Basic workstation troubleshooting (hardware and software)
  • Preventative maintenance
  • On-set setups (travelling around London to different studios)
  • Call logging and assigning
  • Prepare documentation, asset management, manage loan equipment
  • Manage purchase requisitions for IT hardware/software
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the IT Manager

Essential Skills:

  • A recent computing, or related, qualification
  • Experience in a customer facing support role
  • Can show a strong passion for technology
  • Technically hands-on
  • A willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrable experience of working under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a patient manner.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience supporting Windows, Linux, Mac OS, Active Directory
  • Hands-on hardware support; builds, upgrades, repair
  • Understand of networking
  • Documentation, call logging, procurement
  • Experience working part of a small team in a very busy environment
  • Understanding or exposure to 3D Animation application support would be an advantage
  • Holds a clean driving license
