HP ZED rang

HP have just announced that they have refreshed their workstation range with a new generation based around Intel's brand new Haswell=EP Xeon V3 processors. All new platforms are planned to be available as of September 22nd 2014, please get in touch with Escape for more information.

The new range comprises of the HP Z440, HP Z640 and the HP Z840, see below for a quick glance as to what is new:


HP Z440 Workstation

How does the HP Z440 compare to the HP Z420?
Configured with the next generation Intel® Haswell processors, NVIDIA® and AMD graphics and HP Z Turbo Drive, the HP Z440 is faster and more capable to handle professional applications. It also offers more UBS 3.0 ports for faster connections as well as the optional Thunderbolt™ add in card. The new chassis design provides an integrated front handle and is smaller than 4U to increase space for rack mounting. In comparison, the Z440 is more user friendly and faster with all the same features that made the Z420 a well-loved machine.

How does the HP Z640 compare to the HP Z620?
The HP Z640 offers all the next generation Intel® Haswell processors, up to 18 cores, as well as NVIDIA® and AMD graphics and the HP Z Turbo Drive PCIe storage. The Z640 offers more UBS 3.0 ports than the previous generation with an optional Thunderbolt™ add in card and six SATA 6GB/s ports.
