Taking a look at your profile

Your personal member profile is one of the most important things that you should try to keep up to date.

For many of the features on this site to function properly, certain information in your profile is required.

For example, your location is used to show which office your work in for the company profiles, as well as, to help us determine the possibility of future community events in your area.

A full profile would include all the information about your work within our industry.

The company you work for and the companies you have worked for are all great information for people that have questions. It also allows you to associate yourself with the productions you have worked on to help build our database.

Social media links are to help point people to other places on the internet you may be involved with and would like to share.

To view your profile, simply click on the "View Profile" link on the top right corner of any page on the website.

To edit your profile, simply click on the "Edit Profile" button found at the bottom of your profile.

You can also change your password, as well as, edit your company and social links by clicking on the appropriate buttons also found at the bottom of your profile.

Editing your profile

When editing your profile, make sure you completeas much as possible.

Your birthdate and gender are not posted anywhere on the site. This is simply used to determine some metrics (that may or may not be implemented)

Your location is very important, this allows us to determine and justify the locations of future local area meetings and events.

E-Mail Options

Once you have set your default e-mail address you have the option for Daily, Weekly, or Monthly digests of site content being sent to your e-mail address.

Real-time options are used if you wish to receive posts as they happen on the site. Events, Jobs, Articles, Message Board Threads, Videos, Downloads, and Classifieds are all separate options.

Please note, that none of these options are linked to our mailing list:


If you turn off the "Publish E-Mail" (default), your email address will not be seen on the site.

To update your profile make sure you click on the "Update Profile" button.

Taking a look at your company list

You have the option of adding as many companies you have and/or work for to your profile.

If you change jobs make sure you edit the company end date so it is not included in our list of active companies in our member lists.

You can also remove a company from your list so it no longer shows on your profile.

In your profile settings you should set which company is your main company, this also helps with our company lists and determines which features on the site you are allowed to use.

To add a company to your profile, simply click on the "Add New Company" button.

Don't forget to update your profile and update your default company.

Editing your company list

Your company profile allows you to select the company as well as the company office (for companies with more than one location).

Make sure to leave the end date blank if you still work for that company.

You can also include your Position (category) and a description of your job if you would like to do so.

Please note that there is currently no way for members to add companies or company offices to our database. If a company or office your wish to add is not on the list, please send an email to Info@StudioSysAdmins.com.

To add and/or update your company, simply click on the "Update Company" button.


Taking a look at your social links

Social links are a fun way to allow you point people to other things on the internet you may be involved with.

You can edit and/or remove social links so they no longer remain on your profile.

Your e-mail will not be shared unless you have chosen to do so in your main profile.

To add a new link simply, click on the
"Add New Social/Media Link" button.


Editing your social links

Editing a social link is explained on the screen. Simply select the type of link you wish to add and set the "detail".

Note that for certain types of links you should only include the detail as specified in the example.

To update your link, simply click on the "Update Link" button.
