can't adjust key repeat with teradici zero client

We're using teradici's pcoip to connect to virtual workstations and can't get control of

keyboard autorepeat. This is important for use of the "hotbox" menu system in Maya.

Teradici tech support have said all we need to do is set pcoip.pcoip.use_host_autorepeat=1

in /etc/pcoip-agent/pcoip-agent.conf but this didn't seem to have any effect. The ZC

Options > User > Keyboard dialog allows changing repeat settings but not turning it

off altogether. The OS control panel has no effect. Setting the keyboard to "bridged

mode" turns off key repeat but doesn't allow the OS control panel to have effect, and

has the unwanted side-effect that control-c causes the session to disconnect.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

HP Zero Client hardware running firmware 6.2 connecting to Google Compute Engine

instances with Nvidia P4 cards running Nvidia driver version 410.66 on CentOS 7.5 and

7.6 with Maya 2018 and 2019.
