Greetings all,

I work in an academic environment and we’re looking to implement a Post-Production solution allowing both 4k and HD to be rendered in lab environments by students. The solution would need to be able to deal with a varying amount of high and low bandwidth scenarios and be strategically configured to ensure efficient use of storage. We have a proposal on the table from a vendor so I am not so much looking for technical detail or suggestions for hardware solutions so much as I am looking for guidance in implementation, maintenance, and expansion. Is there anyone out there who works in the education or academic world that has implemented and maintained post-production solutions for educators and students that may be able to share their experience in doing so? We’re looking to be proactive and avoid pitfalls as much as possible.
