Restrospect or PreRollPost or..??? New facility with an LTO6 autoloader looking for software. Main use will be archiving projects with some offsite backup as well. I have used Restrospect but find it a bit clunky(sic) to use for archiving. Like the look of PreRollPost. Is it better? -- -------------------------------------------- - Grant Fraser - Sydney Australia - - mailto:grantf@grunt.com.au - - http://www.grunt.com.au - - p: +61(0)417375836 - -------------------------------------------- This email may contain commercial-in-confidence or privileged information. We use YoYottaID, but mostly for elements, not for a unified backup solution. Ive run Bacula in the past with great success, but that was in the pre-LTFS days of LTO-3. We've been using StorageDNA with our auto loader. Works well and has a searchable database. Tapes are written as LTFS so the media is "portable", which is helpful if you want to restore from a desktop. Ken Spickler Sent from iPhone.
